Quake Live is a remake of Q3: Arena that is directly on a web browser. It's sorta fun, nothing like the old game though. (It's currently closed beta)

I actually heard it was good...I was invited to the Beta because I am a member of the QuakeCon site and go to their conventions every year save for the most recent one that passed. Haven't actually tried/used my QuakeLive account nor given any invites but I've seen it run on a web browser and it surprised me. It runs pretty smoothly and brings Quake back to life.

I'm happy it's taken off as well as it has....I might actually play and give Quake a try again. :]
