Following the trend set in this forum.
What is your favorite SNES game? Mine is by and far Chrono Trigger.

Hell Yeah Chrono Trigger owns all, still the best RPG ever made.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the first game to really draw me in to video games.

Probably Yoshi's Island. Diddy Kong Country 2 & 3 also deserve a mention I believe. I did not have a lot of games on the SNES, but the ones I did own were fantastic. Never have played any Zelda games before.

Yoshi's Island was a blast, I just wish you didn't have to haul around baby Mario.

Same here. It was an incredible game. It almost makes me want to steal back my SNES from my sister and play it :thumb:

Maybe, but they made one for SNES too.

The Battletoads game for the SNES was called Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, which came out in 1993. There was also a game that featured the 'Toads and the Double Dragon twins, aptly called Battletoads & Double Dragon.

I loved the 'Toads... but boy, did I suck at playing those games. Where's our current-gen sequel, RARE?

My favorite SNES game is Final Fantasy II (or Final Fantasy IV, as it's more commonly known as now).

It was my first RPG, and I was captivated by the game's plot twists and awesome soundtrack. I remember racing home after work and locking myself in my bedroom to use every bit of my spare time to work my way through the game. I beat the end boss in the wee hours of the morning and remember waking my roommates with my shouting and glee as the ending rolled.

I've been hooked on Final Fantasy games since, although I've never beaten one despite owning all of them except for FFIII and FFXI.

At risk of sounding like I'm just following the crowd, by far Chrono Trigger . . . It's really the only turn based RPG I have ever gotten into, aside from one of the suikoden series(the number slips my mind).

@Jimmy

It really is one of the best games ever made. My friend and I would fight over and hero and the loser would get the girl whenever she appeared. Such a great game.....

My pick would probably have to be Super Mario RPG though.

It's hard to choose one, but I'm going with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. My friend and me always had a blast playing that game. Contra III was also awesome.

So many wonderful games to choose from...

My favorite is Earthbound. I have so many wonderful memories playing that game.

I wish they would finally port over mother 1 and 3! I have their Japanese versions, but of course, I have no clue whats going!

Japanese courses here I come.

Secret of Evermore

soe was my first rpg i ever played if you don't count zelda for nes which i really don't. granted there are other games like earthbound and super mario rpg that i loved, but secret of evermore was just fantastic. i never really could get into chrono trigger at all. a few years back i even tried playing it again and i just couldn't get interested in it for some reason. might have to try again.

Donkey Kong Country 2. Yoshi's Island and Chrono Trigger were some other favourites, but I played the hell out of DKC2.

Yeah, although I can't exactly put my finger on what I love about it that much and whether it's just nostalgia messing with my thoughts on the game. I'm trying to play through Yoshi's Island DS at the moment and there's just something about that game that isn't nearly as charming as the original. Admittedly, the music sucks compared to the original tunes, but other than that there's something there that I just don't like as much and I don't know what it is.
